

Brenda Dunbar
Brenda started volunteering with the Grand River Hospital Volunteer Association in
2018, soon after moving back to Waterloo from Ottawa. She joined the GRHVA Board in
2022. She has served as a Director at Large, while continuing to volunteer at the
WRHN@Midtown gift shop. There, she serves customers and works as a buyer for
several departments. Brenda obtained a BBA from WLU, an MBA from York University’s
Schulich School, and an LL.B. from Queen’s University. She taught briefly at WLU
(marketing) and for several years at the University of New Brunswick. She also lectured
at Memorial University in St. John’s. She has experience managing national industry
associations. Her main career interest was public policy, particularly in the areas of
intellectual property and international trade.
