
Alex MacLeod
Alex MacLeod joined the GRHVA as a Director at Large in 2023. Alex's grandparents opened the first Tim Hortons store in Prince Edward Island and his family has been working in the business ever since. His family previously owned and operated two Tim Hortons franchises in the Niagara region throughout his childhood, providing him with direct experience to advise the Association's Tim Hortons' operations.
Currently, Alex is a Senior Manager in KPMG Toronto's Valuation & Dispute Advisory Services group. Aside from his work in this industry, Alex has additional experience with a consulting firm focused on retail analytics and in the valuations practice of one of Canada’s largest pension funds. Alex obtained his BBA at Wilfrid Laurier University and BMath at the University of Waterloo as part of the schools’ joint double degree program, specializing in both finance and statistics. Following university, Alex obtained his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV).
Alex shares a unique connection with the Grand River Hospital’s elite health care services, having been the beneficiary of a 3-week round of chemotherapy at the hospital’s cancer clinic.
