Michael Matthews

Michael Matthews is the President of the Grand River Hospital Volunteer Association (GRHVA), having previously served as Director of Finance and Director of Business Affairs. In these roles, he helped navigate the challenges of COVID-19 while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. By virtue of Michael’s involvement on the board of the Grand River Hospital Foundation (GRHF), he serves as a liaison to bring the organizations closer together to contribute to a world-class health care system in KW.

Professionally, Michael is the Vice President of Finance & Operations at Barco Materials Handling Limited in Cambridge. He holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), and recently completed his MBA at Western Ivey Business School. He is also pursuing his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation as he expands his expertise in mergers and acquisitions.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Kelsey, and their two children, Charlie and Addison.
